This year, we launched Vision 2050: Time to Transform. It's a comprehensive framework for business action in line with the urgency of the challenges we face: the climate emergency; nature in crisis; mounting inequality. We want it to inspire companies to seize the opportunities that transformation holds, but also to be realistic about what it will take to drive change at the scale and rate required for a world where 9+ billion people live well, within planetary boundaries. Read the latest insight by Wei Dong Zhou, Director WBCSD China, and Thomas Deloison, WBCSD’s Director of Mobility, into what it means to "keep on moving, smarter", and what we are doing to accelerate action to achieve that.

This blog is the seventh of a series that WBCSD is sharing this year, exploring Vision 2050: Time to Transform in more detail. More blogs here:

  • We can keep the water flowing: Joe Phelan, Director WBCSD India, provides an overview of our Water & Sanitation pathway and reflects on its importance in India.
  • We can connect people: Constant van Aerschot, Director WBCSD Asia Pacific, talks with Fujitsu’s Mel Melis about Vision 2050’s Connectivity pathway.
  • We can provide healthy diets for all: Diane Holdorf, Managing Director of the Food & Nature Program, explores Vision 2050’s Food pathway.
