Players are split into age groups throughout camp (Advanced youth players can play up.)
Camp is open for serious baseball players.
For full-day camps, campers receive a 1-hour lunch break each day. For lunch, they're on their own, so pack a lunch. Parents are welcome to bring lunch to the field if they choose. There are often talks and Q&A during the lunch period while players eat.
Training Principles of Infield Mastery:
TTB (Train The Brain): The Brain must be trained just like the fundamental skills of infield play. Train the Brian (TTB). We believe strongly in the (95/5). Baseball is 5% Mental and 95% Physical and the 5% Mental controls the 95% Physical. With the Mental Game being critical, we incorporate mental game training throughout the entire camp: in warmup, catch-play, drill work, game speed exercises, workout routines, etc.
The Law of Attraction (LOA) is real: The body and mind work together. The body seeks to accomplish what the mind thinks and pictures. In order for an infielder to be a play-maker, his mind must be right. Get Your Mind Right (GYMR).
SVT (Sequence Variation Training): SVT is a training concept that teaches infield play through different sequences of game-like movements. The variations of movements and plays are put into sequences and then mastered. SVT begins with predictable movement patterns. Once the predictable patterns are learned through isolation movements and below-game-speed drills, infielders then move into the unpredictable challenge phase of SVT and into the mastery phase of 3RP.
3RP (Read Recognize React Precision): 3RP is the ability to read, recognize and react unconsciously, with precision, within tenths of seconds. Our training methods develop 3RP. The result of 3RP: infielders consistently executing both routine and great play without thought and little effort (Wu-Wei). With 3RP Mastery, average infielders become great, and great infielders become the best!

Nate Trosky - Camp Director
Nate Trosky is a professional scout, who serves and has served as a baseball clinician at various colleges & universities including Stanford, USC, USF, UCSB, Cal Poly, and Santa Clara University. He works with Area Code Baseball and has served as the New Balance Area Code Camp Director and with USA Baseball Break Through Series (BTS) Player Development. He is the founder and CEO of Trosky Baseball, one of the top Travel Baseball and College Showcase organizations in the country. Coach Trosky has contributed to over 7,000 players playing college baseball and over 400 in professional baseball, with numerous first-round selections, including some of the games best players (e.g. Christian Yelich, Nolan Arenado, Joc Pederson, Giancarlo Stanton, Mike Moustakas, Garret Cole, Lucas Gialito, Max Freed, and others).
Coach Trosky received All-American and Scholar Athlete awards in college and holds a Master's Degree in Christian Leadership / Youth Family Development. His baseball endeavors have taken him around the world, coaching in South Africa, Japan, China, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Croatia, and the Czech Republic. Coach Trosky was the head coach of Monterey Peninsula College and coached with the German, Croatian, and South African National teams. He coached professionally in Europe and in three American Minor Leagues. In the German Big Leagues, he won a National Championship as Head Coach of the Cologne Dodgers and was named Germany's Coach of the Year. Annually, Coach Trosky coaches in the Dominican Republic with top Dominican academies and professional Dominican instructors.
Camp Delays/Modifications:
In the event of inclement weather, we will have an indoor facility available to make for a great camp. Camp will occur so long as one camp director is in attendance. In the event neither camp director is available, camp will be rescheduled or refunded.

Trosky Baseball Refund Policy
Trosky Baseball does not offer refunds. Trosky Baseball, at the sole discretion of Trosky Baseball staff, may offer credits to future Trosky Baseball events less an administration fee. Due the increased difficulty in finding replacement players as an event approaches, any approved credits will be based on the following guidelines:
Schedule Changes
Player cancellation due to schedule change 30 days or more prior to event start may receive a future credit less an administration fee of $25 or 5% of the camp tuition; whichever is greater.
Player cancellation due to schedule change 15-29 days prior to event start may receive a future credit less an administration fee of $50 or 15% of the camp tuition; whichever is greater.
Player cancellation due to schedule change 7-14 days prior to event start may receive a future credit less an administration fee of $100 or 30% of the camp tuition; whichever is greater.
No credits available for player cancellation due to schedule change within 6 days of event start.
Injuries/Illness
Player cancellation due to or injury 30 days or more prior to event start may receive a full credit.
Player cancellation due to injury (requires doctor’s or surgeon’s note) 1-29 days prior to event start may receive a full credit.
COVID/ILLNESS: In order to protect the health and safety of other campers and staff, any players with symptoms of, close exposure to, or who have tested positive for COVID-19 may receive a full credit to a future event.
Cancellations for pre-existing conditions (e.g. broken bone, surgery, muscle strain, illness that did not heal/recover as planned) will be assessed based on the date of cancellation unless alternate arrangements are approved by Trosky Baseball staff PRIOR to registration.
(Many athletes are able to attend with injuries and limit their participation to activities that do not risk their health. These players always report that the teachings at camp are still well worth the experience.)
MY PLAYER IS YOUNGER THAN THE POSTED AGE/GRADE. CAN HE STILL ATTEND?
For camps advertised as 6th grade and up, we allow motivated players as young as 5th grade or who are physically at least 5 feet tall or 100 lbs to attend. Unfortunately, younger/smaller than that and the size differential becomes too great. Look for our youth camp opportunities or online academy to prepare for in-person camps.
MY PLAYER IS A LEFTY. IS THIS CAMP GOOD FOR HIM?
YES! We have 1,000’s of players attend camps every year and many of them are lefties. The skills they will learn apply no matter what.
MY PLAYER IS NOT AN INFIELDER. WILL THIS CAMP STILL BE GOOD FOR HIM?
YES! Coach Trosky’s philosophy is “No matter your position, you should train like a short-stop”. The arm actions, flexibility, movements, baseball IQ, etc. that make elite short-stops apply to all positions on the field. Your player will take the physical tools and the mental game training back to their position and every aspect of their life.
MY PLAYER CANNOT ATTEND BOTH DAYS. CAN HE ATTEND ONE DAY ONLY?
If YES! Players are welcome to attend one day only. There are still tremendous benefits and knowledge gained by attending one day rather than no days. Also, there is a reduced rate for attending one day.

MY PLAYER NEEDS TO ARRIVE LATE/LEAVE EARLY. IS THAT OK?
YES! Players are free to arrive late or leave early as needed. There is so much information and training to be had at camp, even if you have to miss part of it, parents and players say it is still worth coming for any of it they can.
When you arrive, simply put down your gear and join the group. If you need to leave early, excuse yourself from the group and leave. It is appreciated if you can notify us of your plans ahead of time atcontact@troskybaseball.com.
NOTE: If leaving camp early players/parents are responsible to watch the time and depart as needed. Trosky Staff will not remind players when it is time to leave.
MY PLAYER IS INJURED. CAN HE STILL ATTEND? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
YES! We often have players attend with a range of injuries from sore arms to broken bones. Players and parents say that even with limited participation, the experience is well worth attending. Please inform Trosky Staff upon arrival of any injuries or limitations a player has.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the player/parent and their doctor to determine the safe level of activity/participation in camp. It is the responsibility of the player to refrain from drills/movements as appropriate.
DO PLAYERS GET A LUNCH BREAK?
YES! Camps longer than 4 hours will have a 30-60 minute lunch break. Camps less than 4 hours typically do not include a lunch break although there will be snack/water breaks. Players are responsible for their own meals. Parents are welcome to bring lunch to their players. While players are allowed to leave the field during lunch, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break that many players will not want to miss.
WHAT TIME IS LUNCH?
Camps that do include a lunch break do not have a set lunch window. It often is determined by the natural flow of the instruction that day. Lunch typically will start between 11:30am-12:30pm most days.
IS FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE FIELD?
NO! Most venues do not have food available for purchase during camp. If there are concessions available, it will be noted in pre-camp details. Players should plan on bringing a lunch or having someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PLAYERS LEAVE DURING LUNCH TIME?
YES! Players are allowed to leave the field during lunch time, however, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break for players to listen to while eating. It is recommended that players bring their lunch or have someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PARENTS STAY/WATCH CAMP?
YES! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to watch camp. There are many talks (especially mental game) that parents consistently say are helpful for many areas of life, not just on the field. Parents are welcome to come and go as they like.
CAN SOFTBALL PLAYERS ATTEND?
YES! Softball players regularly attend. We always recommend inviting a friend so that you can use softballs during the drills and have someone to reinforce the news skills when you get home.
WILL COACH TROSKY BE AT CAMP?
YES! All Trosky Select, Trosky Adventures, and Complete Player Development Boot Camps are run by Coach Nate Trosky. Trosky Trained events are run by Trosky certified instructors.

YES! Camps longer than 4 hours will have a 30-60 minute lunch break. Camps less than 4 hours typically do not include a lunch break although there will be snack/water breaks. Players are responsible for their own meals. Parents are welcome to bring lunch to their players. While players are allowed to leave the field during lunch, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break that many players will not want to miss.
WHAT TIME IS LUNCH?
Camps that do include a lunch break do not have a set lunch window. It often is determined by the natural flow of the instruction that day. Lunch typically will start between 11:30am-12:30pm most days.
IS FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE FIELD?
NO! Most venues do not have food available for purchase during camp. If there are concessions available, it will be noted in pre-camp details. Players should plan on bringing a lunch or having someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PLAYERS LEAVE DURING LUNCH TIME?
YES! Players are allowed to leave the field during lunch time, however, there are often talks that happen during the lunch break for players to listen to while eating. It is recommended that players bring their lunch or have someone bring lunch to them.
CAN PARENTS STAY/WATCH CAMP?
YES! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to watch camp. There are many talks (especially mental game) that parents consistently say are helpful for many areas of life, not just on the field. Parents are welcome to come and go as they like.
CAN SOFTBALL PLAYERS ATTEND?
YES! Softball players regularly attend. We always recommend inviting a friend so that you can use softballs during the drills and have someone to reinforce the news skills when you get home.
WILL COACH TROSKY BE AT CAMP?
YES! All Trosky Select, Trosky Adventures, and Complete Player Development Boot Camps are run by Coach Nate Trosky. Trosky Trained events are run by Trosky certified instructors.

MY PLAYER WOULD LIKE PRIVATE LESSONS WITH COACH TROSKY. IS HE AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE INSTRUCTION?
YES! Coach Trosky is available for private instruction on a very limited basis. All private instruction takes place in Boca Chica or Cabarete, Dominican Republic. Individually scheduled training starts at $200/hour with a 3-hour minimum. Weekend training packages are available as well.
