Beilin was a member of the Lions Club, Elks Club 2681, and the originator and past president of the Little League and the Babe Ruth League, all of Jersey City.

Mary Calvano Mary Calvano, 89, a former resident of Jersey City, died Monday in Bergen Pines Hospital, Paramus. Born in New Kensington, she lived in Jersey City before moving 1 to Paramus eight years ago. She was a member of the Rosary Society and a parishioner of St. Paul of the Cross Church, Jersey City. Born in New York City, he lived there until moving to Bayonne last year. He was a systems analyst for the Board of Electrical Industries, Flushing, for 18 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. A Mass will be said Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Mary Hospital, Hoboken. Born in South Carolina, he was a resident of Hoboken for the past 50 years. He was a longshoreman on the Hoboken piers until his retirement. Johnson was a member of the International Longshoremen's Association. He served as a deacon at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, Jersey City.

Body is found in Hudson River A Jersey City man who was talked down from jumping off the Hackensack River Bridge by Jersey City police about a year ago was found floating in the Hudson River at the foot of Essex and Hudson streets in Jersey City yesterday by a man crabbing in the area, police reported. The body of Fabian Alajandro, 25, was caught in the crabbing nets of Herbert Rodriguez, 50, of Jersey City, shortly after 5 p.m. and subsequently retrived by members of the police emergency squad, police saidpolice said that about a year ago, Alajandro attempted to commit by jumping off the Hackensack River Bridge, but was talked down by Jersey City police.
