Body is found in Hudson River A Jersey City man who was talked down from jumping off the Hackensack River Bridge by Jersey City police about a year ago was found floating in the Hudson River at the foot of Essex and Hudson streets in Jersey City yesterday by a man crabbing in the area, police reported. The body of Fabian Alajandro, 25, was caught in the crabbing nets of Herbert Rodriguez, 50, of Jersey City, shortly after 5 p.m. and subsequently retrived by members of the police emergency squad, police saidpolice said that about a year ago, Alajandro attempted to commit by jumping off the Hackensack River Bridge, but was talked down by Jersey City police. Kilfeather, 20, was one of about 110 cadets participating in a northern warfare orientation course at Fort Greely, said spokesman Chuck Canterbury. Kilfeather, a member of the class of 1989 at the U.S. Military Academy, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kilfeather of New City, N.Y.
He and another cadet fell into the crevasse Monday afternoon. They were pulled out and taken to the base medical clinic, but Kilfeather was pronounced dead that night. The other cadet was treated for injuries and released, Canterbury said. Kenny Price, 56, country music star FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) Kenny Price, whose singing and guitar-playing was featured on television's "Hee Haw" for 14 years, died last night after suffering a heart attack.
He was 56. Price had been admitted to Booth Memorial Hospital on Monday. Nursing supervisor Eileen Fowler said Price died at 11:45 p.m. Price was a lifelong resident of Florence, which is about 10 miles south of Cincinnati He was a fixture on the "Midwestern Hayride" show on Cincinnati's WLW radio station for 18 years and was host of the show from 1970 to 1972. He joined "Hee Haw" in 1973, and also was the star of the Nashville Network's "Wish You Were Here" on cable television.
