Walter J. Malone, S.J., 82, a former pastor of St. Peter's Parish and Rector of St. Peter's Prep School, Jersey City, died Saturday in the Jesuit Province infirmary on the campus of Fordham University in the Bronx. Father Malone was a Jesuit for 65 years and a priest for 52 years.
From 1949 to 1955 he served at St. Peter's. After his ordination in 1937, Father Malone spent the next 32 years teaching classical literature and acting as an administrator in Jesuit houses of study in New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Mullin Mary T. (Madden) Mullin, 71, a Jersey City native and Bayonne resident, died Friday at her home. Mullin worked in the production dpartment of Karyl Richards Cosmetics for 15 years before retiring in 1974. Surviving are her husband, Bernard; two daughters, Elizabeth Patterson and Lynn Wilson; a son, James; a sister, Madeline Okal; and 11 grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m.

Angelina Mastrangelo Angelina (Vici) DeMartinoMastrangelo, 69, a former Jersey City resident, died Saturday in Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. She was born in Bayonne and lived in Jersey City until moving recently to Lakewood.

She maintained a tea room while living in the Marion part of Jersey City. A New York City native, Lembo-Frangione lived in Jersey City before moving to Long Branch in 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Emma Lauria; a son, Frank Lembo; three sisters, Emma Vallone, Juliet Lohrmann and Margaret Schwartz; a brother, Romeo Somma; seven grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. PARKING LOT OPPOSITE FUNERAL HOME son, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., moved in 1969 to the campus of Fordham University, Father Malone returned to Jersey City to join the administration of the Jesuit Community of St. Peter's College. For the next 14 years he worked as an administrative assistant to four rectors there. Even after health required he relinquish his position, he remained to assist his successor where he could. A continued decline in his health necessitated his move last fall to the Jesuit Infirmary at Fordham.
On the occasion of his 50th anniversary as a priest, Father Malone wrote in 1987: "I couldn't have asked for a more rewarding field of apostolic work than teaching those enthusiastic young men. I hope I was able to do some good for them and to help them in their future career as Jesuits. I thank God that wherever I was sent in those different (seminaries), I was always made to feel at home." He is survived by a sister, Madeline; and two brothers, James and Francis. He will be buried in the Jesuit Cemetery in Auriesville, N.Y. McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City, is handling arrangements.
Louis J. Salamone Louis J. Salamone, 71, a former Hoboken resident, died Saturday in Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck. Salamone was a foreman for Atlantic Box and Lumber Kearny, for many years before retiring in 1977. Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Hoboken, where he lived for most of his life.
Salamone, a World War II army veteran, moved to Little Ferry in 1973. Surviving are a daughter, Rita DePinto; two sons, John and Father Robert Salamone, O.F.M.; a sister, Edith Hansen; and three grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Francis' Church, Hackensack.
Trinka-Faustina Funeral Home, Little Ferry, is in charge of arrangements. Vera F. Eckleberry Vera F. Eckleberry, 90, a longtime Harrison resident, died Thursday at her home. Eckleberry was a retired American Telephone and Telegraph long-distance operator.
She was born in Clarion, Iowa, and resided in Hawley, and Wyoming, before moving to Harrison in 1939. She was a member of the Dorcus Society of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Newark. Eckleberry was a member of the Harrison Senior Citizens and Senior Citizens of Holy Cross Church, Harrison. Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Schuman, Beverly Do-, lan and Barbara Giardina; four sons, Dorsey Robert, Dale and Richard; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
